Standing Still

Standing Still

Still Standing focuses more on the church and Abbey. The grass and gravestones by St Mary’s Church are painted onto written information about the church. Caedmon’s hymn is seen on two of the houses, and many of the rooves are cut from a copy of an illustration of the monk. There is a nod to the lifeboat station which is just to the right of this image .. the date that the first lifeboat service began in Whitby in 1802 Sent from my iPhone
