I'm Laura Ward, and I'm thrilled to share with you my passion for mixed media art.

I love turning things that might otherwise be overlooked or thrown away, like old magazines and books, into something beautiful. It's painting with paper, giving these materials a second life and weaving them into stories.

My work is full of little secrets waiting to be discovered. For example, I might use text from 'Dracula' in a piece inspired by Whitby, or sneak in a 'B' for Betty's in a clock to give a nod to those iconic tea rooms. It's all about the details and the stories they tell.

Yorkshire holds a special place in my heart; it's where I used to live and it's a constant source of inspiration for me. Through my art, I hope to share a bit of that love and the beauty of Yorkshire with you.
